Operators should consider system efficiency, equipment compatibility, emissions management, maintenance requirements, and long-term operating costs when upgrading combustion systems. For a waste to energy plant, the right improvements can help increase energy recovery, improve combustion control, and maintain more consistent plant performance.

For a waste incinerator, operators should also evaluate airflow control, temperature management, waste feed consistency, monitoring systems, and emissions-control equipment. A carefully planned upgrade can improve reliability, reduce energy losses, support cleaner operation, and help the facility achieve better overall performance.
