Freshness affects germination more than most buyers realize, and a pack that has sat in a warehouse for two years is not the same as a recent batch. Some breeders print a harvest or packaging date, others do not, and a few banks will tell you if asked. Guidance on which vendors disclose batch age is compiled at https://queenfeminizedseeds.com along with tips on requesting it before checkout. Older seeds are not worthless, but they deserve a lower expectation.
