Over time, and with regular use, JoyCon controllers can experience a variety of issues. The most common issue is known as analog stick drift, where the controller is "seen" as being moved when no input is applied. Sticky or unresponsive buttons, charging problems, and pairing issues with the console are also common. These faults are commonly due to wear of internal parts, loose connections, or dirt. If not addressed, these can greatly impact the user experience. Fixing these issues by replacing defective components or re-adjusting internal elements can restore the controller's functionality.
